廉永福,男,1963年3月生,1986年毕业于哈尔滨师范大学化学系,1989年毕业于哈尔滨工业大学应用化学系并获硕士学位,2000年毕业于北京大学化学与分子工程学院并获博士学位。1989~1997在韦德1946化学系工作,2000~2001在香港科技大学做博士后, 2001~2006在日本筑波大学做外国人研究员, 2006年底到韦德1946化学化工与材料学院工作。现任韦德1946化学化工与材料学院教授、博士生导师,2006年度“龙江学者”特聘教授。

研究方向:主要从事纳米碳材料的基础研究和应用研究。感兴趣的研究方向:
1. 碳纳米管和内嵌金属富勒烯的高效合成及纯化;
2. 内嵌金属富勒烯化学反应的规律研究;
3. 碳纳米管的填充和功能化研究;
4. 内嵌金属富勒烯做为药物和信息存储材料的应用研究;
5. 纳米碳基电极材料和传感器件
